Harvest Intern

Compensation: $22-$24 per hour
The Opportunity
We are seeking passionate, energetic and experienced Harvest Interns to join our team for the 2026 harvest season from June through mid to late November. This is a unique opportunity to join our internationally award-winning wineries and contribute to the development of Lake Country as a wine region.
Reporting to the Winemaker, the successful candidates will play a key role in supporting the Winemaking Team at both O’Rourke Family Estate and Peak Cellars wineries with the processing of 250-300 tonnes of grapes. We are known for our hand-crafted Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling, as well as Grüner Veltliner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Gris and Rosé.
About O’Rourke Family Vineyards
O’Rourke Family Estate (OFE) is a 300-acre property with panoramic views of surrounding orchards, vineyards, rolling mountains, and the glistening water of Okanagan Lake. Inspired by Europe’s most famous wineries, the property features 110 acres of vines, 300 meters of winding tunnels, and 12,000 square feet of cave space to store and age wines. In addition to OFE, the O’Rourke portfolio includes Peak Cellars. Located on a 7-acre property in Lake Country, and is home to our Goldie Road Vineyard. Wine isn’t the only thing the property produces; the half-acre organic vegetable garden and two greenhouses supply the highest quality fruits and vegetables for the Garden Bistro.
What You’ll Do
- General cellar work and barrel work
- Bottling
- Vineyard / maturity sampling
- Data entry and analysis
- Assist with vineyard reporting
- Fruit receival and processing
- Tank and fermentation management
- Laboratory/daily wine analysis/accurate record-keeping
- Digging out tanks and pressing pomace
- Barrel work
- Sanitation
What You Bring
- Minimum 2 harvest seasons of hands-on cellar and lab experience
- Forklift operating experience (BC training can be provided if not already certified in BC)
- Ability to work safely in busy production environment around equipment for long hours, including weekends and statutory holidays
- Ability to maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, following all workplace safety procedures and protocols
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Ability to lift 25 kg and be able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle to move between wineries as needed
- Non-residents must have a Canadian Work Permit valid for employment term
