Accounting Technician – Receivables & HR

Role type:  Hourly, Full Time

Location: O’Rourke Family Estates, Lake Country, BC

Reports to: Controller

Compensation: $27-$30 per hour

The Opportunity

We are seeking a detail oriented and reliable Accounting Technician-Receivables & HR to join our finance team. The team provides services for multiple divisions and business lines including estate grown wine, tasting rooms, bistros, fine dining, accommodations and events.

Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records. This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in both the financial and operational aspects of a dynamic, team-oriented environment in a growing winery/hospitality business.

What You’ll Do

Accounts Receivable & Revenue Reconciliation

  • Reconcile daily sales across multiple point-of-sale systems, payment processors, and bank deposits
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in cash, credit card, and on-account transactions
  • Prepare and record invoices for wholesale customers and rentals
  • Record receivables and payments accurately in the accounting system
  • Manage customer accounts, collections, and account balance communications
  • Track and reconcile incoming payments and resolve discrepancies
  • Support deposit preparation and cash control procedures
  • Maintain customer and vendor records across systems

HR & General Administration

  • Coordinate job postings and assist with recruitment administration
  • Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation
  • Set up employee profiles in payroll and scheduling systems
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records
  • Assist with general administrative and office support tasks as needed

What You Bring

  • 2–5 years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting support
  • Experience with reconciliations and multi-system environments (POS, accounting, payment processors)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with Excel and accounting software
  • Experience in hospitality, winery, or multi-revenue environments is preferred
  • Exposure to HR administration or payroll systems is an asset
  • Post secondary education in accounting or bookkeeping is an asset
